About the Images

This series was begun in the autumn of 2005.  This was the first time I began using a process of drawing into existing monotype prints, and "finding" new imagery contained in the resulting torn papers.  I worked from family photographs, constructing the drawings around the ghost images in the prints.  As such, the drawings become embedded in the fabric of the old print.
